Rhythm Sweet and Hot Mike Plaskett, one of the duo who hosts the fabulous DUQ radio show, Rhythm Sweet and Hot, came in to Galaxie last week! Mike and Dale Abraham have gained a cult following with 78-collectors – they take us back to the 1920s through early 1950s every Saturday night from 7pm to 10pm on 90.5 WDUQ. That's a solid block of big band, swanky depression era jazz, cool alto clarients and holton saxes. A truly great show. There's something really charming and hip about the music before the 1950s. Mike and Dale are doing a great job of keeping that music alive and bringing it to new audiences with their radio show. |
